Just a few hours after its official unveiling, we have more close-ups of the ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card.

ASUS calls the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card the fastest variant of NVIDIA's RTX 4090 out there. This is because the card makes use of the best-binned AD102 GPU dies enabling the best boost clocks possible on the graphics card. But at the same time, the extra clock frequencies will be requiring a lot of extra cooling performance and for that, the company has a brand new AIO cooler.

The ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card has the following highlighted features:

If you look at the shroud design, the graphics card is just as long as any other RTX 4090s makes use of a fully custom and high-end PCB design, and comes in a dual-slot form factor. The graphics card comes with some nice and subtle ARGB accent LEDs in the inner sides of the frame and has a back that makes use of a mirror finish. The front has the RGB-illuminated ROG and MATRIX logos too.

The power is provided by a single 16-pin 12VHPWR connector and there are two massive tubes leading in the shroud which houses the internal cooling assembly and cold plate. The two tubes feature extra long and are nicely braided for higher durability.

These two tubes lead into the 360mm radiator which is cooled by ASUS's MF-12S fans. ASUS isn't sharing any performance or clock figures but the GPU should run well under 50C under load at stock and even with overclock which is nice to hear. This is a 450W+ GPU and we can expect some nice performance boost over reference variants of the RTX 4090.

On the software side, the ASUS ROG MATRIX GeForce RTX 4090 gets the new GPU Tweak III suite which adds a new feature that tells you whether your 16-pin cable is connected properly or not. It will also show the usage of the card on different power levels in the "Mileage" tab. Once again, the card is expected to be a limited variant and will be launching in Q3 2023 for a premium price above $2000 US.
